Legal Terms and Conditions for Ticket Sales

Information on the on-line ticket sale process

Follow these steps to purchase tickets on-line:

  • 1. Train Search, where you can select the journey, date and number of passengers,
  • 2. Train Selection, where you can select the specific train on which you wish to go on your journey.
  • 3. Prices and Methods of Payment, where the different methods of payment accepted are listed: credit or debit cards, and those charged to RenfeVisa Card and Club Ave, and
  • 4. Confirmation of purchase and printing-out of ticket, where, after the purchase has been confirmed, a ticket is generated with a localiser whose data will be saved for any future change or cancellation that might arise. The customer must carry a printed-out ticket when travelling. This can be printed out either in his own PC, or at any of the autocheck-in machines in those stations that have them.

The on-line sales system only permits acquisition of some of the ticket sales prices of Renfe-Operadora. Therefore, if you can avail of some offer, or different price to those indicated, you must purchase your ticket at stations, ticket offices or authorised travel agents.

Similarly, if the price permits it, in the options “ Change Tickets" and "Ticket Refund” of the On-line Sale Portal you can change or cancel your ticket up to one and a half hours before the train leaves its departure station.

Moreover, the on-line purchase of tickets implies full acceptance of these Passenger General Terms and Conditions that apply to the service being contracted.

Renfe-Operadora ensures the confidentiality of the personal details provided for on-line purchasing transactions; details which will only be used for commercial relations between the customer and Renfe, in accordance with that which is provided for in the Personal Details Protection Act of Parliament 15/1.1999 of 13th December 1999, which can be consulted in the Privacy Policy of this website.
