Identification of the passenger

Renfe will identify passengers who acquire tickets for AVE, Long Distance and Avant trains and purchase online or at a travel agency.

When purchasing the ticket, the customer will enter contact information: first name, surname, e-mail or telephone number and, optionally, an ID number (passport, national ID document, etc.).

As this is a personalised ticket, the information for the passenger can be changed up to 15 minutes before departure at no charge.

The information is not printed on the ticket, but Renfe will be able to identify the passenger at the access control point.

This is a marketing measure designed to improve the company's relationship with the customer, enabling it to personalise offers, provide timely information about incidents and communicate changes in train timetables.
