Talgo

Page content

The Talgo service includes different long distance travel options between the main Spanish cities. It is a well-regarded service and our passengers rate it highly.

There are currently several generations in operation, from Talgo III to Talgo VII, with commercial speeds of between 160 and 200 km/h. All trains from the 4th generation onwards include a tilting system that increases journey comfort and speeds.

All Talgo trains offer seated places in First and Standard class, with a buffet car, music and video services.

First Class

The carriages are lounge cars with a central aisle and each row has with three seats (two together and one single) with lots of space in-between. The seats face the direction of travel, except the end seats, which remain static.

Each seat is a sliding seat and comes with a table, audio and video outlets, bin, individual arm rests, foot rest and a reclining back.

There is a vertical luggage rack to one end, as well as overhead luggage racks.

Standard Class

Standard carriages boast similar features to first class in terms of comfort, light and décor. They are lounge carriages with a central aisle and two seats on either side. The seats face the direction of travel, except the end seats, which remain static.

Each seat is a sliding seat and comes with a table, audio and video outlets, bin, individual arm rests, foot rest and a reclining back.

There is a vertical luggage rack to one end, as well as overhead luggage racks.

On-board services in standard class include the following: video, music and buffet car.
