Alvia Series 730 (Hybrid)

The s-730 hybrid train ran its maiden route in June 2012 from Madrid to Galicia. It is the company's first hybrid train, with both diesel and electrical traction technology enabling the advantages of high-speed travel to be extended to non-electrified sections of track thanks to its gauge conversion systems allowing it to travel on UIC- (AVE gauge) and conventional-gauge tracks.
