A personal, named, non-transferable pass, valid for 10 journeys that allows different departure and arrival stations to be combined.

The journeys may be made on all AVE services and Larga Distancia (Long-Distance) services that operate on high-speed lines and coincide with AVE train routes. The pass is only valid for seats.

The FLEXIBLE BonoAVE has a unique price depending on the pass type. This price cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts except for the Large Family discount and for others specifically indicated in the ticket’s terms and conditions.

AVE Map

It will be valid for 4 months from the date of purchase. During this time the first validation must be made. Once this is done, it may be used for 4 months starting from the date of first validation. If the price of the pass changes during the period of validity, the unused journeys will be valid until the pass expires with no price changes.

The different BonoAVE FLEXIBLE types are as follows:

  • BonoAVE FLEXIBLE Preferente.
    BonoAVE FLEXIBLE Preferente pass holders may validate their ticket in their class, or in a lower class without any right to compensation.
  • BonoAVE FLEXIBLE Turista.
    BonoAVE FLEXIBLE Turista pass holders may validate their ticket in Turista, Turista+ and Preferente although in the latter two they must pay the price difference with the corresponding General AVE fare.

Sales Channels for Passes

Ticket offices at Stations, Ceuta Sales Office, www.renfe.com, Travel Agencies in person and online, Telephone Sales - Renfe Contigo 912 320 320, Renfe Ticket and Multiproduct Self-Service Machines located in stations.

Pass Cancellation

The Pass may only be cancelled free of charge if it has not been used.

If the Pass has been used for any transaction, but no journey has been made on it, it may be cancelled with payment of a cancellation fee of 15% of its price.

Ticket windows at stations can be used to cancel BonoAVE FLEXIBLE passes purchased through any of the sales channels except for Online Travel Agencies.

Travel Agencies in person can only be used to cancel passes purchased via this channel. Those purchased at online agencies may only be cancelled via the issuing online agency.

Validation of the booking

Ticket booking validation is obligatory for each journey.

Changes

Validations cannot be changed.

Cancellation

A validation can be cancelled at no cost.

Missed Trains

  • In the case of trains that are missed for causes not attributable to Renfe, those passengers who have arrived at the departure station at least 30 minutes before the scheduled train departure time will be given the option to travel on the next train with available seats, under the terms and conditions specified by Renfe.
  • The fee will be 20% of the General fare of the new ticket, provided customers travel in the same class – or lower – as that of the original ticket.

Passengers need to show the BonoAVE FLEXIBLE alongside the booking validation and valid documents proving they are eligible for other discounts, and keep them until the end of the journey. In addition, they must have their identity document with them.
