Pass cancellation

  • The pass can be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase with no additional charge, the holder being entitled to a full refund.
  • After 24 hours, and prior to first use, a 15% cancellation charge will apply.
  • It is not possible to obtain any refund whatsoever after making the first journey.
  • If the journey is made in an inferior class to that specified on the pass, the holder will not be entitled to any compensation whatsoever.

Ticket cancellation

  • Tickets can be cancelled free of charge upon request at renfe.com and at authorized travel agencies and stations.
  • A ticket can be cancelled up to 15 minutes before the train departs from the origin station.
  • Once a ticket is cancelled, the previous number of remaining journeys is restored on the pass.

Pass replacement

  • If a pass is damaged, lost or stolen, a duplicate can be requested free of charge at the ticket offices of authorized stations.
  • It is not possible to change a pass for another one of a different type/class.
  • It is not possible to change a pass for another one with a different validity period.

Commitment

Pass holders are entitled to request compensations in the event of a delay in the scheduled arrival time, lack of quality, or for any other reason attributable to Renfe under the same terms and conditions as the rest of the prices and fares, depending on the type of product and train.
