The magic is back! Bilbao uses its best decoration this Christmas, filling its streets with a festive atmosphere, lights and, of course, the best excuse to indulge in "pintxos".

This is the market that never disappoints, a classic. You will find it on Doctor Areilza Avenue (Indautxu area) and it is famous for the quality of its stalls.

It will be open from 29 November 2025 to 7 January 2026, with extended hours, from 11:00 to 22:30. You have plenty of time to visit it!
The other large market, the one we traditionally saw at the Ripa Pier, is moving in 2025 to the beautiful Doña Casilda Park. A promising change of scenery!
Here you will find up to 35 wooden huts to look for figurines, decorations and typical Basque sweets. An ideal place to go with the family.
It is open from 5 December 2025 to 5 January 2026. Bear in mind: it closes on 25 December and 1 January. Plan those visits well if you come on those days.
You can get to Doña Casilda Park easily by public transport, it is a well-connected area.
Although the market changes location temporarily, Ripa Pier is still a place for an incredible walk along the estuary. It is one of the areas with the most traditional Christmas atmosphere.
To find out where the market will be located in 2026 (if it returns to Ripa or stays in the Park), it is best to check the Bilbao City Council or Bilbao Tourism at the end of the year. Don't trust rumors.
