Christmas, Christmas, sweet Christmas! The capital of Aragon dresses up for Christmas! During these dates Zaragoza shows its brightest and most colorful face with its lights and decorations.

The city has a lot to offer during this time, but one of its most typical jewels is the Christmas Market in Plaza del Pilar. Do you want to find out everything about it? Well, keep reading and don't miss anything.

  • Zaragoza Christmas Market

From 29 November 2025 to 6 January 2026, you can visit the famous Christmas Market at Plaza del Pilar. Its official name is Mercado de Comercio y Artesanía de Navidad and it is a true symbol of Christmas in Zaragoza.

There are more than 50 booths and stalls where you can buy figures for the nativity scene, decorations, lights, novelties, crafts and even all kinds of Christmas sweets and gastronomic products from the area. Sounds appealing, right?

  • Much more than shopping

Its key setting, next to the famous Basilica del Pilar and the decorations frame the market in a postcard-perfect Christmas landscape.

In that same place they set up a giant Nativity scene of almost 1,800 square meters every year with a hundred life-size figures that recreate the most popular scenes related to the Birth of Jesus.

There is also an 11-meter-high Christmas Tree of Wishes, decorated with people's wishes for the new year 2026, why not write yours? Surely it will come true!

There is a skating rink for children and the bravest in the same square that undoubtedly guarantees fun and good memories. There is also a whole programme of Christmas activities for the little ones that you cannot miss.
