Cuesta Maneli Beach

Beaches of Punta Umbria

Another beach located in a natural park is Playa de Punta Umbria, in the Marismas del Odiel marshes, declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Punta Umbría is home to other beaches that are also worth mention:

  • Playa de la Bota: a beach boasting fine white sand. Located in a semi-virgin setting, it gets particularly during summer. In this part of the coast, the sea is particularly quiet, making it perfect for a peaceful dip.
  • Playa de los Enebrales: a practically virgin beach equipped with wooden walkways, meaning it can be accessed from the road. This beach is particularly quiet, meaning if you are looking to get away from it all, this is the place for you!
  • Playa de El Portil: This beach is particularly long and wide, boasting fine sand and calm waters. It is located very close to the freshwater lagoon that has the same name, meaning you can enjoy the beach and lagoon from the same spot. In summer, it gets particularly busy on account of its proximity to the city. El Portil is known for its Andalusian cuisine with Arabic touches, meaning that if you go here, you cannot miss out on the food!
