Renfe conveys its condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the railway accident that occurred yesterday at 7.45 pm in Adamuz, Córdoba. The company and all its employees deeply regret what has happened and express their support and gratitude to everyone who has been working tirelessly since the accident occurred. In particular, Renfe wishes to thank Adif staff, the Security Forces and Emergency Services, as well as all the residents of the town of Adamuz who are providing their help selflessly.

Renfe president Álvaro Fernández Heredia has been at the scene since last night, leading the operation deployed by the company and working to support the emergency services in every possible way.

At 8.45 yesterday, Renfe activated its Victims and Families Assistance Plan (PAVAFF) to provide psychological support and information to those affected by the accident via the helpline 900 10 10 20. From the outset, Renfe also mobilised its security and customer care teams, which worked in coordination with the emergency services, Adif and the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility.

Information and support centres have been set up at Atocha, Córdoba and Huelva stations for families, with company psychologists available to assist victims and relatives. Renfe and all its staff stand alongside the families of the affected passengers at this difficult time.

In addition, since last night Renfe has enabled free ticket changes and cancellations for passengers affected by the suspension of the high-speed line linking Madrid with Andalusia and is working to make alternative means of transport available to them.
