Pay directly at the turnstiles using your bank card or your mobile phone with Cronos. Yes, yes, it's that easy! This new system allows you to pay for your one-way ticket using a contactless credit or debit card or your mobile phone payment system.
How does it work? Very simple. Each time you pay for one or more one-way tickets, the corresponding fare and the number of zones you have travelled through will be charged; you can check the corresponding charge on your bank account statement.
Request your Tarjeta Más Renfe & Tú card to travel. You'll need it to carry most of the tickets you use. It is packed with advantages: you will earn more time and added comfort on your travels and, since this is a contactless card, simply bring it close to the boarding control reader to open the doors. It is reusable and rechargeable and has no expiry date.
Card issue time of up to 2 weeks. It may take longer, depending on the number of requests.
One-way tickets are valid for a single trip. Its price may vary, according to the areas covered by the service.
Validity: Every day of the week.
You can purchase them at station ticket offices or Cercanías self-service machines. Remember that you have a maximum of two hours to start your journey after the purchase of the ticket.
These tickets may not be changed and can only be cancelled at ticket offices in stations within two hours of purchase, provided you have not used the ticket.
Valid for two trips. The outward journey will be valid for two hours after the ticket is issued and the return journey can be made during the day following the issuance of the ticket.
