How does it work? Very simple. Each time you pay for one or more one-way tickets, the corresponding fare and the number of zones you have travelled through will be charged; you can check the corresponding charge on your bank account statement.
Request your Tarjeta Más Renfe & Tú card to travel. You'll need it to carry most of the transport tickets you use. It is packed with advantages: you will earn more time and added comfort on your travels and, since this is a contactless card, simply bring it close to the boarding control reader to open the doors. It is reusable and rechargeable and has no expiry date.
Card issue time of up to 2 weeks. It may take longer, depending on the number of requests.
You can purchase them at station ticket offices or Cercanías self-service machines. Remember that you have a maximum of two hours to start your journey after the ticket purchase.
