Any Tarjeta Dorada, with the exception of those issued by banks, can be renewed from 60 days before their expiry date. You will be asked to provide your national identity document number and card number and, later, the email address and mobile phone number associated with your card for security reasons.
You can renew the card online using a credit or debit card and Bizum. Once the process is complete, you will receive the Tarjeta Dorada, so you can download it in PDF or Passbook format, as well as confirmation of its renewal by email.

At Renfe, we are firmly committed to the mobility of everyone. Therefore, if you have a disability equal to or greater than 33% or if you are pensioner over the age of 18 with permanent disability, you can take advantage of the discount offered by the Tarjeta Dorada Card.
This card, which is named and non-transferable, will entitle you to discounts on your trips and costs €6. It can be purchased at station ticket offices or travel agencies, when presenting the corresponding certificate, disability card or supporting documentation. It is valid for one, two or three years.

Your Tarjeta Dorada Card will also provide you with discounts on Cercanías (Suburban) and Cercanías AM.
If you have a disability equal to or greater than 65%, you can travel with a companion, who will do so with a ticket with the same price conditions.
Tickets purchased with your Tarjeta Dorada Card allow changes and cancellations, as long as the chosen travel option allows it. It may be subject to charges.
