Don't forget that... Once you have purchased your pass and before you travel, it is essential that you book and get your ticket for the day and the train you are interested in, what is known in railway jargon as "validation". You can do this through any of Renfe's sales channels.
All Avant season tickets can be cancelled free of charge as long as you have not made any transactions with it. If you have already made an arrangement, but have not yet travelled, you can cancel it with expenses (15% of its price).
If during the period of validity of the pass, on at least 3 occasions, you validate a journey and do not make it or cancel its validation outside the permitted period, it will be considered fraudulent use.
In this case, you will lose the right to obtain a new discounted pass over a period of 60 days from the date of notification of the last violation. However, you can purchase a new Tarjeta Plus 10 card without a discount, so you can continue travelling during that period. You can purchase it though from this link or at the ticket offices at stations, travel agencies and telephone sales.
