PlayRenfe is the free Wi-Fi and entertainment service that brings you access to exclusive content at speeds of over 300 km/h.

Connect to the internet with your devices and make the most of your time. Answer emails, check your social media, chat or choose from the wide range of entertainment content that PlayRenfe offers: live sport, 24-hour information, premiere films, series or documentaries.

  • Madrid – Barcelona – Girona – Figueres
  • Madrid - Valladolid - Leon. 
  • Barcelona – Seville / Málaga
  • Barcelona – Zaragoza – Granada
  • Valencia – Seville
  • International trains Madrid – Marseille and Barcelona – Lyon (*)
    (*) LaLiga matches are only broadcast in Spain.


Connecting to PlayRenfe is very easy:

  • Download the app from your app store (available for iPhone and Android).
  • Go to settings and select the PlayRenfe Wi-Fi network (if you use your laptop, start directly on this step).
  • Use your browser and enter any url to access the registration screen.
  • If this is your first time accessing the platform, choose your language.
  • Choose one of these two options to enter: access with your renfe.com username and password or log in with your +Renfe card number and password. By checking the option to remember your credentials, you will ensure quicker and easier access on your next trips, since you will connect automatically.
  • Accept the terms and conditions.
  • You can now access all the services!

Access to some websites, programmes, download pages and streaming video may be blocked, except for YouTube. If you access PlayRenfe from your laptop, you may need to download a plugin or extension for video playback, which will be requested automatically.

  • Minors travelling alone can use PlayRenfe as long as they bring with them the authorisation and photocopy of their mother's, parent's or legal guardian's national ID card, foreigner ID card or Passport.
