Beaches of Almuñecar

This is one of the busiest towns on the Costa Tropical. Its more than 19 km of beaches include Playa de San Cristobal, bathed by clear waters and fine dark sand. If you are a fan of diving, this town has the perfect place for you: Playa de Cantarriján, a small beach with crystal clear waters located in Maro-Cerro Gordo Natural Park

Playa de Cantarriján

This small, heavenly cove is located in a protected natural setting, approximately 15 km from Almuñécar. Surrounded by cliffs and lush vegetation, the beach is famous for its relaxed atmosphere and as it is a nudist beach, although it also has an area for those who prefer to keep their swimwear on.

Cantarriján is perfect for those looking for privacy and tranquillity. As it is surrounded by cliffs, it offers unrivalled privacy. Its crystal clear waters are perfect for a refreshing swim and for those who like to dive and snorkel. At the western end of the beach is a beach bar where you can enjoy delicious tapas and drinks while admiring the stunning sea views.

Beaches of Salobreña

Salobreña is a well-known tourist destination in Granada, although it is quieter than its neighbour Almuñecar. Although if you are interested in doing some sightseeing while enjoying a few days on the beach, its mediaeval structure, consisting of alleys and small whitewashed houses, mean Salobreña is the place for you. And we mustn't forget Playa del Peñón de Salobreña, a place that boasts blue waters and coarse sand that will leave you speechless.

  • Playa El Cambrón, also in Salobreña, has no facilities or a promenade. The nearest car park is 2 km from the beach. This place is particularly special if you want to get away from it all.

The beach is known for its strong currents and waves, making it a popular spot with surfers and windsurfers. If you are a fan of these sports, this is the perfect place to brave the waves. Furthermore, the cliffs and rock formations surrounding the beach create a breathtaking landscape and offer the opportunity to explore trails and caves.

Playa de Calahonda

Known for its calm and relaxed atmosphere. The perfect place for those looking to get away from it all and enjoy a little peace of mind. Take a stroll along the shore while listening to the soft murmur of the waves and feel the sea breeze caressing your face. What's more, its location in Calahonda old town allows visitors to immerse themselves in the region's history and culture.

This beach plays host to a variety of services for you to enjoy the experience to the fullest. Rent sun loungers and umbrellas to relax under the warm sun or head to one of the nearby beach bars and restaurants to sample delicious tapas and typical local dishes. Its strategic location also means you can explore the charms that Calahonda has to offer, including its picturesque port and narrow cobbled streets.
