Probably the best known beach in Barcelona, and for good reason! La Barceloneta is a city icon thanks to the bars and restaurants in the surrounding area and the sports and leisure facilities the beach has to offer.
Between Hospital del Mar and Calle de la Marina, Somorrostro is adjacent to La Barceloneta and is right next to the Olympic Port, making it a safe bet for tourists! It is also close to Barcelona Zoo and Parc de la Ciutadella.
Another of the city's most famous (and oldest!) beaches is Sant Miquel. Close to the city centre and next to Plaza del Mar, it boasts all the services you need to enjoy the perfect dip and more!
Bogatell is Poblenou's beach par excellence and was one of the beaches restored in the 90s. Like most of its Barcelona neighbours, Bogatell offers a variety of services and is less crowded than the beaches closer to Barcelona's historic quarter.
Next to Bogatell is Mar Bella beach. This beach boasts a younger atmosphere and features a space set aside for nudism. It is also equipped with sports facilities and a children's play area.
