Bilbao is famous for its modern architecture, exquisite gastronomy and perfect blend of tradition with avant-garde styles.
When Christmas arrives, the city dresses in light and colour in a very special way: its streets are filled with bright decorations , the Christmas markets come to life and the festive atmosphere is there in every corner. Bilbao becomes a charming destination where both children and families can enjoy the Christmas magic to the fullest.

A few meters away, in the traditional surroundings of the Arenal Pier, the Christmas Craft Fair, Gabonart, is held. Here you will find local craft stalls: Ceramics, wood, textiles... all made with care. Ideal for children to see how unique pieces are created and to get special Christmas gifts.
During the holidays, Bilbao usually installs an outdoor ice rink in central areas such as the Arenal or Ripa Pier, along with artificial snow slides and spaces for children. Roller coasters, Ferris wheels and lots of laughter for families.
On 5 January, the streets of Bilbao are filled with wonder as the Three Wise Men parade along the Gran Vía and the city centre, throwing sweets and greeting children. It is one of the most magical times of the year.
