What does the Tarjeta Plus card offer?

  • It caters to your needs. You choose the number of trips, between 30 and 50 one-way or return, interchangeably.
  • Always on the same route, between two stations that you must choose at the time of purchasing the card.
  • This is a named and non-transferable pass.
  • Validity: you have 6 months from the date of purchase to make all your trips and, within these, 60 days to use it from the first formalization.
  • Get your Tarjeta Plus using your standard purchase channel: renfe.com (so you avoid queues and waiting), telephone sales, station ticket offices and travel agencies.
  • Payment with Renfecitos (Renfe points) is not accepted. It does allow you to obtain Renfecitos (Renfe points) and benefit from the advantages of the loyalty programme.
  • Discounts are only available to holders of the Spanish Large Family card.

  • Validity: You have 6 months to make your first trip from the date of purchase and 30 days to consume all trips from the first formalisation.  Due to the health situation and until June 30, 2022, this period is extended to 60 days. 


Don't forget that...
Once you have purchased your pass and before you travel, it is essential that you book and get your ticket for the day and the train you are interested in, what is known in railway jargon as "validation". You can do this through any of Renfe's sales channels.

All Avant season tickets can be cancelled free of charge as long as you have not made any transactions with it. If you have already made an arrangement, but have not yet travelled, you can cancel it with expenses (15% of its price).
