Remember, on AVE, Larga Distancia and Avant (high-speed, long distance and mid-distance) trains, children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult or, on trains that offer the option, must use the minors travelling alone service. 

At Renfe, we have implemented customised tickets on all our sales channels; therefore, when purchasing any ticket for Media Distancia (mid-distance) or Avant (mid-distance high-speed) trains, you will be asked to provide a series of basic details of the person travelling, including a mobile phone contact number.

That way, we can get in contact if we need to, for safety or health reasons, and offer you better care before and during your trip, informing you of any incidents or delays with your train.
